Jellyfish World!
That is the name of a new museum in Pompano Beach. Since our blackwater dive was blown out and viz at the bridge was down to zero, we decided to head indoors for some aqua therapy. The museum is well laid out and the exhibits are very interesting with detailed, informative signage at each one. They have a good variety of species and watching the jellies pulse around the tanks is mesmerizing. That said, you would be hard pressed to spend more than an hour going through the place. In the low light conditions it was difficult to photograph the inhabitants, which were in constant motion. Here are a few pics that turned out OK. The sea nettle is bright pink because of the lighting. The fish are genetically engineered and are really that color. You can read more about them here. Click on an image to view full screen.
