Dashboard Moose at our last stop
This week we traded the creeks of North Carolina for the springs of Florida. We hopped through Georgia to our final camping destination, Salt Springs National Recreation Area (Fort McCoy, FL). We snorkeled the spring for a day, then we headed home.
We spent our first two days back at the ranch dismantling our shed, which the tornado buckled. We also learned that its location did not meet code (it was too close to the back property line), so reconfiguring our storage was also a priority. Gee, it’s great to be home, LOL.
With the exception of our snorkeling adventures, this trip had been pretty devoid of wildlife. We saw a few more critters in Georgia than in prior states, but still not much. But, once we hit Florida, the numbers really jumped . While there are lots of things about Florida I don’t like, the abundance of critters makes up for a lot.
