Who needs a big expensive camera . . .

when you have an iPhone? After hauling my large, heavy camera and big zoom lens around for most of the week, I came upon this beauty while walking the dog with only my phone in my pocket. This is a White-lined Sphinx Moth caterpillar. I have photographed the moth before, but this was the first time seeing the cat (head left, tail right). It was close to 2” long and moving pretty darn fast. I thought the colors and pattern were simply amazing.

This week included bird watching, a dive at Blue Heron Bridge and a black water dive off Palm Beach. Here are a few more pictures (taken with the “real” cameras) from this week around the ‘hood.
