When your week starts like this . . .
. . . it is pretty hard to improve upon it. On Monday I met my friend, Kar, for an early morning paddle. When we arrived at the parking lot the heavens opened. But, in typical Florida fashion, the storm did not last long. As we started to unload our boards, the sky began to clear and we were treated to this amazing double rainbow.

We are still waiting for the weather to cool off and we are still dodging afternoon thunderstorms and yucky diving conditions. So, once again, most of this week’s action took place in the backyard. I was trying to get pictures of the four different dove species we see. Alas, they did not cooperate. So, here are the critters that were a little more photo-friendly.
