OMG!
It’s a Manatee! Those were the words that passed through my brain during my dive at Blue Heron Bridge on Friday. As you know, the critters I normally photograph at the bridge are tiny. I find them by slowly gliding over the bottom looking straight down for any movement or color that seems out of place. Occasionally I look up. When I did this on Friday, I was face to face with a large Manatee. It was close enough to kiss (I didn’t). Just WOW! Of course my camera is set up for tiny, so there is no photo. There is also no photo of the Nurse Shark that swam between me and my dive buddy, Kar. It was definitely a large critter day.
Dive conditions were not great, but I still managed to find and photograph a few of the more usual suspects. Remember, you can click on an image to view it full screen.
