It’s been a while . . .

Juvenile Foureye Butterflyfish (Chaetodon capistratus) against a background of crushed shells and sand.

since I saw a juvenile Foureye Butterfly Fish at Blue Heron Bridge (Riviera Beach, FL). The last time was in 2016. So, I was happy to find this little beauty on a somewhat lackluster dive this week.

Juvenile Foureye Butterflyfish (Chaetodon capistratus), approx. 1.5".

This week we also celebrated Koko’s “Gotcha Day”. We adopted her from Big Dog Ranch one year ago on July 17. She is very smart, but has convenient hearing. Despite that, ese has really wormed her way into our hearts and is the most spoiled mutt we have ever had.

Koko is allowed on the sofa on her dog blanket, which is one of my quilts of course.

Although our dive on Thursday was not awe inspiring, I still managed to find a few interesting critters. The Scotch Bonnet snail was a first (I had found the eggs before, but not the snail), and the Beaded Sea Cucumber was the smallest I have ever seen.
