Blackwater at last!

All winter the weather and scheduling gods have conspired to keep me from blackwater diving (I was ready but the dive was cancelled or the boat went but I was otherwise engaged. ) This past Sunday I finally broke free from the curse. I was not disappointed. Good conditions and lots of critters for me to photograph. Diving for 2 hours we drifted 5.8 miles over water 600-610’ deep. Here are a few more of my favorites from the night:

It was a two dive week. I also spent some time underwater at Blue Heron Bridge (Riviera Beach, FL). It was definitely oddly placed octo day. And there was the Tammy Faye Baker of the fish world. These are some of the critters that kept me company:

We wrapped up the week with a bicycle ride at Riverbend Park (Jupiter, FL). The ride started off slowly, but by the end we had seen lots of fun fauna. Here are just a few:
