A bit of sunshine
. . . in a mostly rainy week.
We needed the rain, but egad! Fortunately it cleared up on Friday and we were able to bicycle at Lakeside Ranch STWA in Okeechobee. It was hard to get close to birds, and many of the winter visitors are gone, but this Blue Dasher Dragonfly (Pachydiplax longipennis) was happy to pose. We also counted 28 Alligators.
Before the rains came, I managed to fit in two dives at Blue Heron Bridge. The water was pretty green and hazy, so the photos are not the best. Still, there were a few fun critters I wanted to share along with an early morning shot of two Red-Shouldered Hawks at Lakeside Ranch.
