Back to birding.
With the weather getting a tad cooler and our dive gear packed for Bonaire, we took the opportunity to do some bird watching at Fort Pierce Inlet State Park. The ocean was very rough, but that did not stop the various shorebirds from hunting for breakfast. Still, I was surprised to find this Yellow-crowned Night Heron on the beach during the day. I think he had his eye on the fishermen, hoping they would provide him with a fishy snack.
Following are a few more photos from our day at the beach. Remember, you can click on an image to view it full screen.
We are off to Bonaire tomorrow and hoping for smooth flying with no delays. If all goes well, Fish Face of the Day should begin appearing on Monday.
