Mating Wood Storks

It is that time of year when hundreds of Wood Storks flock to Wakodahatchee Wetlands to make more Wood Storks. Nest building is in full swing (although they really don’t build much of a nest). Mating is ramping up. And some storks are already sitting on nests. Some nests are so close you could touch them. The image below is just a small section of the area with nests:

To give you some perspective, Wood Storks stand about 3’ tall:
